Doodle Learning
At Hyde Park Schools, we use Doodle Learning to make maths and English revision fun and effective. Doodle is a personalised learning app that creates a unique work program for each pupil, helping them to master core skills and concepts in just a few minutes a day.
How it Works
Doodle's clever algorithm identifies a child's strengths and areas for improvement, automatically generating questions that are perfectly tailored to their needs. This ensures they are always learning at the right level and building a solid foundation of knowledge.
- DoodleMaths: Helps pupils build confidence and competence in maths by focusing on key skills in a supportive and engaging way.
- DoodleEnglish: Strengthens spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills through daily, personalised activities.
We encourage pupils to use their Doodle app at home for at least 20 minutes a day to keep their skills sharp. This regular practice makes a significant impact on their progress and helps them to become more confident and independent learners.
If you need any support with your child's Doodle account, please contact the school office or speak to your child’s teacher.
Getting started with doodle learning
Children will be allocated an email address and password unique to them to enable them to access Doodle Learning.
To access Doodle Learning at home:
1. Visit https://home.learningat.uk
2. Log in using your child’s school computing account details
3. Scroll down and click on the Doodle Tile on the LAT homepage
4. Choose a subject (Spelling, Maths, English, or Times Tables)
5. If your child’s baseline assessment is not yet complete, allow them to complete it independently—this ensures that the learning experience is tailored to your child’s current level. If it has been completed in school, just allow them to practise. To switch subjects, simply use the menu and select “Switch Apps”, as each subject has its own baseline assessment.
Accessing Doodle Learning on Different Devices
Your child’s school computing account can be accessed on any device. However, if they wish to use Doodle Learning on a mobile phone or tablet, they will need to download the free Doodle Learning app. You will need to download the four Apps separately but once logged in you can switch between them easily enough.
