Mrs Emma Foster- Head of Infant School

Born and raised in Plymouth, I have dedicated my career to education. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Education (Music) from the University of Exeter in 1999 and commenced my teaching journey that same year. Over the past 25 years, I have taught across all primary phases, leading Music and Computing at both school and trust level.

My commitment to personal and professional development has been unwavering. In 2019, I completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership and am currently pursuing the National Professional Qualification for Headship. My extensive experience in education and leadership shapes my desire to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in our school.

Since 2016, I have served as a senior leader, focusing on assisting staff in improving the quality of teaching throughout the school. By prioritising the raising of standards, we aim to enhance pupil attainment and behaviour, ensuring that every child can make progress and thrive in their learning environment.

I have a passion for cognitive science and provide research-based training for staff while utilising coaching to enhance subject leadership and classroom practice. Mentoring Early Career Teachers and students is a vital aspect of my role. As a Subject Hub Lead within our Trust, I collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and act as an Improvement Champion, implementing evidence-based strategies for the benefit of our children.

The safety and wellbeing of our pupils are paramount, and as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, I am committed to addressing safeguarding matters in adherence to established policies. As a parent, I understand the importance of a nurturing primary education that promotes not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of each child. I believe that through fostering positive relationships between home, school, and the wider community, we can empower all children to overcome barriers and realise their potential- setting them on a path towards achieving their dreams.

SENCO

Mrs Jennifer Hussey

My name is Jennie Hussey. I am SENCO and Curriculum Lead at Hyde Park Schools. I have worked here for more than 15 years and have taught in schools around the world. I have a love of languages, reading and travelling. I have 2 young children and we love walking and going to the beach.

Family Support Advisor

Mrs Leisa Warne

I am the Family Support Advisor and Pastoral Lead. I have been at Hyde Park for 3 years now. I have worked in education for 25 years, I started in Primary education and then worked in a secondary school as a Pastoral Support Manager. I joined the Communication Interaction Team as a Support Worker working with children from Primary to Secondary age for children with communication difficulties.

I then went to work in CAMHS with the Neuro Crisis Team working with children that have Autism and ADHD and High Anxiety.

I then came back to education and joined Hyde Park to support children and parents with my knowledge and experience.

I am very passionate about supporting young people and helping them to have the best skills possible to enable them to achieve their full potential in life and knowledge on how to support their mental health, so they can be happy and fulfilled.
