At Hyde Park Schools, we are committed to providing a fully inclusive education where every child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We believe that all pupils, regardless of their individual needs, have a right to a high-quality education. Our dedicated team works closely with pupils, families, and external professionals to identify and support a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Our approach is built on the principle of early intervention and close collaboration. We use a graduated approach to SEND support, which involves:
Our school has a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo), Mrs. Jennifer Hussey, works across both schools. The SENDCo is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day provision for pupils with SEND and is your main point of contact for any concerns or questions.
For more detailed information on our SEND provision, please refer to our SEND Information Report and SEND Policy, which can be found on our website. These documents provide a comprehensive overview of how we identify, assess, and support pupils with SEND at Hyde Park Schools.
Hyde Park Schools have a nurture provision, The Lodge, where children are supported to raise their emotional well-being, self-esteem and to have a sense of belonging to the school community. Further information on our nuture provision can be found below.
