The Parent, Teacher, and Friends Association (PTFA)

The Hyde Park PTFA committee is a group of ordinary people who care about the school and want to make a positive difference. Our PTFA exists to bring our school community together — parents, carers, teachers, and friends — to make school life a little bit richer, friendlier, and more connected. We’re about more than fundraising (though that helps too); our aim is to build our school community, create opportunities for friendship and support and to promote a culture where parents, teachers and children feel respected, valued and part of the wider school community.

We plan and hold inclusive, low-pressure events for children, for both families and just adults. We aim to bring people together to enjoy themselves without adding to the to-do list, whilst raising funds for important school projects that directly benefit the children. Whether you can volunteer an hour, share an idea, or just show up and enjoy yourself, you’re part of the PTFA community.

Our Co-Chairs are Jo Deerman and Michaela Webber. Both have two children at the school — Jo’s daughters are in Year 2 and Year 4, and Michaela’s sons are in EYFS and Year 3. Jo is a Registered Nurse, while Michaela is a Project Delivery Manager. They’re passionate about building an inclusive, supportive school community and organising events that are not only welcoming and accessible but also fun for everyone. Recognising that not everyone has a “village,” Jo and Michaela aim to make the PTFA a space where families can connect, laugh, and feel part of something special.

If you would like to get in touch, please feel free to reach out via the school office, through our email: ptfa@hydeparkprimary.co.uk or on our Facebook page, Facebook- PTFA.
